My name is Katherine (Katy). For non-native English speakers the “-th” sound is difficult to pronounce. So, when I travel abroad I often introduce myself as Katy. Hence the name of the blog! I have never blogged before but I wanted to challenge myself to create this website to catalogue my experiences living in South Korea. I have always enjoyed writing but I find it difficult to be accountable to a regular journaling practice. I am hoping that the idea of my friends and family (and possibly even strangers) reading this blog will keep me writing all year long.
